Beat Man Defense for 7 EVERYTIME

Play: Stutter hook
Playbook: Pitt
Formation: 5 Wide

Steps:
1. Come out in any play from trio formation
2. Audible to stutter hook
3. Smart route the far left receiver (the stutter route)
4. Put the far right receiver on a fade
5. Put the receiver on the right (doing a small curl) on a slant
6. Leave the small curl on the left side
7. Motion the wheel route on the left all the way to the right side (read the defense)

This play is literally unstoppable. No beating around the bush. Put Your fastest receiver to run the stutter route. He’ll be open slow or fast, but the faster the better.

Why it works:
The stutter route makes man coverage look absolutely stupid. It’s a touchdown every single time vs man coverage. Against zone, he still gets open. You just have to fit it between the corner and safety- still open every time. If they run zone and commit the defense to stop the stutter route, you then look for the motioned wheel route up the middle which will be naked against zone coverage. Also the fade on the sideline is a great zone beater; it’s a great RC route, but most the time he’s so open all you have to do is throw it. The curl on the left is a great zone beater as well. It’s a unique curl that finds the wholes in zone coverage. The slant over the middle is also a fantastic man beater as well. If people blitz you in man coverage they are dead. You don’t even need to look, just chuck up the stutter route. It’s that simple. If they are in man with 2/3 deep safeties, instead of motioning the wheel route, motion the stutter route right and smart route it. He will be WIDE open for a quick pass. If you make the right reads, this play is uncontainable.
