Combining Routes To Create A Money Play

Play: Shotgun Normal, WR drag
Playbooks: Detroit, West Coast, Indy)
Step 1: Smart route slot WR
Step 2: Streak right outside WR
Step 3: Hot route TE on slant to the left

Reads
1) look for the quick flat route if you notice blitz is on the way
2) crossing routes
3) glitchy corner route
4) streak

If you notice, the left WR running a corner route happens to be glitchy in how easily it gets open against man and zone.  The quick movement of the route glitches the AI of the corner leaving an easy open WR to simply pass lead up to.  Not only that, but you have crossing routes over the middle of the field, a flat route, and a streak route to either rocket or ps2 user catch.  This play is the definiton of a money play and can literally be a one play touchdown if they’re not usering the safety.  If they ARE usering the safety, you can actually rocket catch the left corner route.  It’s easier if you smart route, and it WILL take some practice to get down.  But if you put the time into it, you can master rocketing this corner route as well to make this play truly unstoppable.

Step 1 - Smart route slot wr
Step 2 - Hot route TE on slant to the left
Step 3 - Leave WR on drag, motion over a few steps and hike

This is another adjustment to the play that we noticed gets the flat more open against man coverage.  You can literally create a whole shotgun based scheme off this one play, or throw this into your scheme as a nice play to use.  It’s best against fag D.
