With "Madden" Moments Live, gamers can cash in the "Madden" coins they earn through playing the game to recreate some of the best moments in the NFL on a week to week basis.

In fact, each week over the course of the season, the mode will be updated with two-to-four new moments that were the talk of the previous weekend.

To kick things off, EA Sports is offering five free moments to start the season entitled March of the Saints.

Moments include:

Saints vs. Dolphins: After spending the first half of their matchup against the Dolphins being victimized by the Wildcat and the Dolphins' power running game, the Saints needed to toughen up on defense and open up on offense. Take over as New Orleans and turn the game in your favor.

Saints vs. Redskins: Avoid an upset at the hands of the Redskins by putting the game away in overtime. You lost the coin toss, so you'll need to defy probability and keep them off the scoreboard. Find a way to score quickly for maximum points.

Saints vs. Cowboys: The Saints lost their chance for an undefeated season in week 15 against the Cowboys. Down 24-3 at the start of the 4th quarter, Drew Brees and Co. almost mounted the comeback of a lifetime. Take over the Saints and finish the comeback.

NFC Championship: One of the most exciting games in recent memory ended with an overtime victory for the Saints. Take control of the Saints with the score tied at 28 and find your own way to punch a ticket to the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl XLIV: At the start of the 4th quarter, the Colts led the Saints 17-16 and the ball was in Peyton Manning's hands. To most teams in 2009, that meant a certain loss, but the drive eventually stalled and Matt Stover missed a 51 yard field goal. Take over as the Saints at the start of the 4th and stop the Colts.

We have filled 144 spots in our leagues and
127 spots in our Masters Competition. We have one spot left and instead of
picking someone to fill it we will host a short tourney to see who claims the
last spot in this event.

I have not heard from some of you since Madden 10'. You should text, PM or
post here so I'll know you're still playing the game. I have replaced some guys
and I will continue to add current GT's. We don't want any delays after we kick
this thing off.

We're almost ready. With $1,000 in cash on the line all we need is the 2nd
patch from EA. Sharpen your games and get ready to hit the beach.

If I have your team wrong please post here who you will use in the tourney.
Keep in mind no two owners can use the same team in the same game.

The dates assigned are hard coded. There will be no more delays. October 4th
we play this thing out! This is the most fun you will have playing Madden online.
But with this kind of bread......it's not a game.

regular season is right around the corner, so it seems appropriate that Madden 11 receive a tune-up before gamers gear up for 16 weeks of beer, chips, and salsa. As part of the update, Madden 11 will receive various game play improvements including the option to return to the Strategy Pad Shortcuts from Madden 10. Head on over to the Madden 11 Blog to get a full rundown of all the changes that will be added.

Notable game play improvements include the addition of Scouting in the game’s Franchise mode as well as the inclusion of the new overtime rules, implemented to eliminate the same type of overtime loss the Vikings recently suffered at the hands of the New Orleans Saints. More severe punishments are also being added to keep players from abandoning games in Ultimate Team mode.

Along with the tweaks and additions, a new DLC will mark the beginning of regular content released under the title “Madden Moments Live.” Each week, EA Sports will release a playable scenario from one of the week’s most talked about game(s). The first DLC, that covers the Saints’ 2010 blitz for the Super Bowl Championship is titled ‘March of the Saints’. While March of the Saints, like the update, is free of charge, all following editions of ‘Madden Moments Live’ will come with a cost attached. But if you enjoyed the game as much as we did you’ll want to explore all there is to offer.

QUARTER LENGTH: 3 Minutes

SKILL LEVE: All-Madden

PLAYBOOKS: Players may choose any offensive and defensive playbook. Use of created plays and playbooks are strictly prohibited in league and tournament play.

SUBSTITUTION/DEPTH CHARTS:
You are allowed to sub players wherever you want.

GAME PLAY:

You may NOT milk the clock until 2 minutes left in the 2nd & 4th quarters.
You must hike the ball with 18 seconds or more on the Play Clock
1st warning - 5 yard penalty
2nd warning – punt the ball

No manual punt/field goal/extra point blocking.

Fake field goals/extra points/punts are banned.

Players may not audible out of the QB Kneel, Wildcat, Field Goal, or Punt offensive formations.

ADDITIONAL RULES
* No manually blitzing running up the a,b,c gaps

*Must put the sticks down when someone is kicking a field goal
* No audibling out of any play to get a WR or HB at QB

4th DOWN RULE: If you’re leading by 3 or more points, you must punt or kick a field goal with 4th and 3 yards and more to go. This rule doesn’t apply with two or less minutes remaining in the 2nd and 4th quarters, or in any 4th and Goal situation.

2 POINT CONVERSION RULE: You can only use two point conversions to tie a game or normalize a point spread that was thrown off by a safety. This rule doesn’t apply when you’re down by 1 and attempting to win a game with two or less minutes remaining in the 4th quarter.

MANUAL / ”TURBO-BLITZING” RULE: Manually controlling a player before the snap to attempt to blitz in the box, or on the edge; and/or “Turbo Blitzing” is prohibited. You may control a player for pass coverage, containing or tackling the ball carrier, spying an offensive player, and after clicking on post-snap to QB or run-blitz.

MOTION PASS “DUMBED DOWN DEFENDER” RULE: Any manual motion of offensive players that causes a defender covering him to over-commit in any direction or “go dumb” is prohibited. When motioning, the wide receiver must be set before you hike the ball unless it's a green automotion routes that you have no control of.

FULLBACK DIVE AND QB RUN PLAYS WITH MANUAL MOTION: Manually motioning any offensive player on Fullback dive or Quarterback run plays is prohibited.

Onside Kicks are only allowed if the losing opponent is down in the 4th quarter
