Making The Defense Adjust Against Unbumpable Routes

Playbook – Arizona
Play - Flip Trips – HB Wheel
Setup:

Step 1 – Smart route the A WR
Step 2 – Send the X WR on a drag route

Why It Works:

The simple reason that most players love to send “A gap” pressure with this play. We eliminate the option of even blitzing our Offense because we have so many (quick) reads on this one play.

Overall Thoughts:

Our main read on this play is our HB on the wheel route to the sideline. If he is covered we have multiple crossing routes over the middle of the field. Don’t forget the B WR on the far right running the in route. Against man blitz he is open 99% of the time.
