Formation: Doubles

Steps:
1. Smart route the two out and up routes if they are blitzing.
2. Put your running back on a slant towards the sideline*

This play is very, very effective. You have dots and rocket catch routes on the same play.

Why it works:
The two “out and up” routes on the inside will be open vs man coverage every single time. They also find holes in zone defenses, but against zone I prefer to rocket catch the outside streaks. These slanted streaks are one of the easiest routes to rocket catch in the game. You want to pass lead up and to the sideline in order to rocket catch the streaks. The running back on the slant is by far one of the most effective routes this year. It kills man, and will be open in zone. The worst case scenario is you have a 1 on 1 match-up with the corner back which is a great match-up for the offense.
