Turbo Blitzing

Play: Strike 2 Deep
Formation: Dime
Playbooks: All

Setup:
1. Put both CBs in purples
2. Shift linebackers left so the yellow zone from the LB is to the left.
3. Put the blitzing CB from the right side closer to the defensive end.
4. Put the right defensive tackle on a QB spy (optional for additional coverage)
5. Take the blitzing CB from the left side of the field and turbo blitz with him.


Why it works:
One of the most underrated tactics this year is turbo blitzing. It can be extremely effective if used properly. To turbo blitz, you want to press Y or triangle on ps3, then hold both analog sticks down and at the snap of the ball, let go of the right stick. It will take practice to get your timing right, but it will be very effective if you get it down.

I love this play. I have become addicted to turbo blitzing. I probably do it too much but it completely locks people up; especially this play because heats coming from both angles. The QB spy is added to take away short quick passes, but it’s not needed because of how quick you will come in from both sides. The purples on this play make sure you won’t get beat by slants but you will also get killer hit sticks in the flats.
