User Catching 101

The concept of this user catch is pretty easy.  You pass lead to the inside of the WR and go tap Y to get the ball.  For example, if I have Hines Ward or Randy Moss on a streak on my left side, once they beat their man off the bump, or get any kind of inside position at all, you would throw to the right side.  This can also be done against zone, however – it’s much easier, and much more effective, out of a tight formation over the middle of the field against a zone based defense.

Come out in shotgun tight, Randy Moss, Ben Watson as your outside WRs. Streak the two, place the two inside WRs in drag routes.

If bump and run is being played, wait for one of the two to get inside position and fire to them at that spot accordingly.  You then click on and manually get yourself closest position to the red dot on the field and tap Y (or hold) and go up for the easy user catch. If it’s zone, make your reads accordingly and there should almost always be a window or an opportunity for an easy user catch to occur.
